Greenville, KY asked in Child Support for Kentucky

Q: Kentucky receives Up-to-date payment Kentucky pays Alabama now Alabama says I'm Behind two months

My decree was set in Kentucky To receive payment of child support ex wife moved to Alabama. My child support is up-to-date and paid in full. My question is why is the state of Alabama holding my taxes, saying I owe a rearage $825 that is two months that I did pay and the child is 18 who makes this call on terminating age. I have not been to Alabama court for any changes of custody or support, so do I go with Kentucky's 18 that was Nov 2019 or keep paying till he is 19. To remind you he has not spoken or came to visitation for a year.

A: The Kentucky ordEr controls. If the child is still in high school you will need to continue paying until he graduates or turns 19, whichever comes first. If he is 18 and has graduated, your support should have terminated on his 18th birthday or his graduation, whichever is later.
