A: More information is needed. How did your mom enter the U.S.? Has she ever departed after a stay of unlawful presence in excess of a year? Has she ever been arrested? Has she ever been charged with deportation in front of immigration court? Has she ever been petitioned by another family member? If so, when?

I strongly recommend an appointment or teleconference with a competent and experienced immigration attorney before there are any other complications. Good luck.
