Q: If a minor has a court date and moves out of state before that date, what happens?
The minor did not move due to the court date. The minor has been going through serious depression due to the untimely passing of his close grandfather. There was a hearing at school and I voiced my concern of trying to find help for the minor. The minor had family members that reached out to provide assistance and he moved to a better support system. The minor has multiple mental disabilities and I feared for his safety here.
A: Someone needs to hire an attorney for the minor. I am assuming this is a criminal issue.
