Q: Question about tenant guest-banning rights

If a tenant is renting a room in a house where the owner of that house also lives can the tenant ban guests that the owner has said are ok to be there?

A: Hard to say w/out seeing the contract. A tenant may exercise exclusive control over some areas, probably their room and private space, but would not have the legal right to ban a guest of another tenant/owner from a common area space.

I hope this helps.
