Rancho Palos Verdes, CA asked in Criminal Law and Personal Injury for California

Q: I was drugged and the person wouldn't call for help for me, and he would not let me to call 911. I think I was dying.

I got a very bad reaction to the drug. I had a seizure, I was hallucinating, lost contentiousness and my body got paralyzed. I don't know where my case fall into.

A: You most likely have a case against the person who drugged you. Did you report it to the police and was the person arrested and charged? Does the person have any assets. A lot of questions need to be answered to see if you have any kind of case. Call some personal injury attorneys as a starting point. good luck to you..

A: MORE INFO NEEDED.

IF SOMEONE SLIPPED YOU A DRUG, RATHER THAN TAKING ON YOUR OWN, YOU WOULD ARGUABLY HAVE A CAUSE OF ACTION AGAINST HIM/HER. YOU SHOULD CALL POLICE AND GET THE PROPER MEDICAL ASSISTANCE TO PROVE YOUR DAMAGES AND PROTECT YOURSELF.

A: There is generally no duty to rescue another person from danger. It is unclear who was supposed to call 911 for you, or how that person prevented you from doing it yourself. Also unclear is what you injuries are from the failure to call, since you appear to be alive and well now. If someone drugged you, or sold drugs to you, you can have a claim against that person, but trying to collect money on those types of cases is an uphill battle.
