A: If it was an accident then it is not Murder and its not a crime. If it was not an accident and depending on the circumstances the charges can range anywhere from Reckless Homicide to Involuntary Manslaughter to Voluntary Manslaughter to Murder. If committed by a child under 16 years of age it would be in juvenile court as a delinquent act that if committed by an adult would be a crime. If over 16 or under certain circumstance the child could be waived into the adult court, it would be a crime the same as if a person over 18 committed the crime. The consequences range anywhere from a sentence range of 1-6 years up to 45-65 years depending on what offense the person was convicted of committing.
