Q: Is child support used to pay Passport Health?
My ex files taxes every year and every year it is taken for back child support but not applied to it so we are unsure where it's going. He is not told where the payments are being applied but knows he should not be in the rears. I was told that if my children receive Passport then that is where it is going.
A: Yes. His back support will be used to repay the state benefits first. After that has been repaid, the remaining arrearage money should be released to you.
