Buena Park, CA asked in Contracts and Landlord - Tenant for California

Q: Can a landlord send me a new lease after I sign the original and state that the rent on the original lease was incorrec

My apartment was advertised for price A and when I got the lease, it was lowered to price B. I called to verify and signed the lease at that price. Now I am receiving a new lease and being told that the original lease rent was incorrect. Is this legal since I already signed for price B on the original lease?

A: If the original lease was signed by both you and the LL, it is a binding agreement. If He caught the error before he signed it and sent you a revision, then the first one was never in effect.
