Q: How can you get a title of an inherited relative's car that has passed that lived in another state than I reside?
I inherited my aunt's car from her death and there is no available title. I actually have possession of the car, but no title to be able to license or even resale the vehicle. How can I get a new title for this car? My aunt lived in Alabama and I live in Florida. Any and all suggestions is greatly appreciated. Regards, Ann
A: I'd start by asking the Alabama DMV. You might want to be ready to explain how you "inherited" it; did she leave it to you in a will.
