A: The Supreme Court of Virginia has suspended all new eviction cases in the Commonwealth of Virginia for tenants unable to pay rent as a result of COVID-19 through April 6. and then the eviction moratorium has been extended through June 28. I saw no order by the Governor that placed a freeze on residential rent increases.

A: No, but the landlord could initiate an eviction that wouldn't get to the courts until at least July/August due to COVID, but you're not obligated to pay more per month just because the landlord requested it.
