A: You need to be more specific. I suggest you re-post. A lease in which both you and he are tenants? - or with him as the only tenant, but allowing you to live with him? Or sub-letting to you? Or with you as landlord, him as tenant? And you mean refusing to pay, but continuing to live with you? - or breaking up with you and taking off?

A: Short answer is no. Not unless there is some sort of contract between you and your boyfriend whereby you promise to pay him something or do something (what lawyers call "consideration") in return for his paying the rent.
