Lomita, CA asked in Gov & Administrative Law for California

Q: If a president is impeached twice during his first term, would he be ineligible to ever run for any political office?

I heard this on MSNBC last night, but cannot find it anywhere.

A: The answer to your question is in the Constitution of the US. In Article I, Section 3 it states: "Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States: but the Party convicted shall nevertheless be liable and subject to Indictment, Trial, Judgment and Punishment, according to Law." Trump was impeached but the Senate did not convict him of impeachment. Therefore, there was no Judgment of Impeachment. A Judgment of Impeachment could, but is not required to include, a disqualification from holding office further.
