Sarasota, FL asked in Real Estate Law and Civil Rights for Florida

Q: How can I refuse landlord to show rental while we still live in it due to covid and currently 6 months pregnant?

We gave 60 day notice per contract to move out at end of lease. I offered to do virtual showings, take pics, but landlord keeps sticking with "legally I can and will show it, just have to give 24 notice". I'm 6 months pregnant and have been working and staying home since March due to Covid. Already have had a family pass away, and a few others critical with it currently so my husband and I are very concerned since I'm high risk. We do not want to take a chance of having people in the house and we are even getting rental professionally cleaned once we have moved everything out. What can I do to prevent her from showing our rental?

A: Not much. The landlord is basically correct.
