Q: If u internationally hurt someone, is the "show cause" court date where u pay a fine to cover their medical bills?
A: The show cause date is for the payment of any monies, be it Court costs, fines, restitution, etc.
A: If you pleaded guilty and/ or are convicted, and if restitution is owed and ordered, the condition of your sentence may involve paying restitution i.e., the medical bills. In such a case you will have to make payments or pay in lump sum. A show cause date is given usually by which you must pay the specified amount or if not paid appear in court on the show cause date. If you have a show cause date you may have to appear regardless of if you paid or not, check with the court clerk.
