Q: If my son's father signs a statement saying he will not pursue child support from me will it be honored
I have had primary custody of my 11yr old son since birth due to biological father not being involved. Now his father has turned his life around for the better and gotten right with The Lord and my son would like to go live with him for a while. I am on public assiatance and he is currently on child support. Will he be able to now place me on support if our son starts living with him and his wife? Can we both sign a statement that he would not pursue support from on me and that I would take him off of it?
A: Yes. You can do an agreed order for all of those things and submit it to the court to sign.
