Q: My mom wants me to stay on campus I want to get my own apartment with friends ill be 18 in November can I do that?

Can she control what I do I’ll be 18 and she keeps informing me that I have no choice but I believe I do.

A: Until you reach the age of 18, you must comply with your mother's rules. You are a minor and under the responsibility and care of your parent/legal guardian until you reach the age of 18.

A: Until you turn 18 you will have to abide by what your mom says. Once you turn 18 you can make your own choices. However, you may also want to consider whether or not she is paying for your college education. If she is, then she may say that a stipulation of that is that you stay on campus. -Homer P.
