Q: can a parent share their kids teachers introduction video in a public social media forum?

A: It would probably be unwise to post the video created by the teacher meant for the students. The teacher was targeting a narrow audience and taking it from a distribution of limited selection and putting it out on the international WWW could be considered an invasion of privacy without the express written consent of the teacher. There may also be rules regarding electronic communication and reposting that you and your student agreed to in order to receive this electronic communication. When you registered, there may have been a policy that you accepted which would restrict further dissemination.
