Columbus, OH asked in Child Custody and Family Law for Ohio

Q: My sister is filing for emergency custody of my almost 12 year old daughter, what are my options?

I chose for my daughter to go to my sisters due to an investigation in the home, the person being accused is not in the home and turned themselves into police August 3 this year. Since my daughter has been with my sister, it has been nothing but chaos and threats and harassment from my sister and her husband as well as other family members who my sister had gotten involved. My caseworker said it's obvious my daughter is being munipulated and influenced by my sister and the environment she is apart of in her household as well as my sister not complying with the caseworker and putting my daughter in unsafe situations and not caring for her as she needs and the plan is for her to come back home to be with me and her other siblings. I just found out through my caseworker that my sister has filed for temporary emergency custody even though there is no threat to my daughter here in my home. I do not know what my options are or what I need to prepare for.
