Omaha, NE asked in Family Law for Nebraska

Q: The mother of my 1 year old baby will not let me see or spend time with him for no reason at all so what can I do?

My son was living with me for 2 months because she couldn't keep him because she had court ordered inpatient rehab and when she got released I let her take him to spend time with him and we agreed she would have him for 1 week and I'd have him for a week and we were supposed to keep doing that and she gave him back after her first week and then I had him for 1 more week and she came and picked him up and had him for another week but when it came time for me to get him I didn't have a ride to pick him up so the next day when I found a ride to get him she told me she was concerned about his safety but has no reason to be concerned.

A: If the parents can't agree on what the custody and/or parenting time with the child should be, then a parent may need to file a custody action. Within the custody action, the Court can enter a temporary order stating forth each parent's time with the child. If one parent claims the other parent is unsafe, they would have to argue such to the Court and then you would know what the allegation would be to refute it.
