Lake Arrowhead, CA asked in Small Claims for California

Q: My ex girlfriend mom co signed my vehicle and then took it back after I put 8000 dollars into it? Help

Hello my name is Gabe recently I was involved in a sticky situation, my ex girlfriends mom co signed on my vehicle , she was my co owner on my vehicle as an OR , she never spent a single dollar on the vehicle I covered insurance , car payments, oil changes, tires , and all aftermarket parts that were on the vehicle. She then took it in her own hands to come take my car with the spare key in the middle of the night after we spoke and she said I could keep the car. Can I take her to small claims court for the 8,000 I put into the vehicle that she took from?
