Oroville, CA asked in Criminal Law, Family Law, Civil Rights and Domestic Violence for California

Q: Are social media posts about missing my son and my experiences a violation of a Restraining Order?

No names were said. Truthfully, I am not sure I even made the posts. I believe someone related to the victim got ahold of my phone at a gathering, but that's hard to prove. Are posts about my son (on the RO) with pictures before the RO illegal? Is saying that the situation isn't right illegal? I had no intent to harass the victim or have anyone harass the victim. It was more a protest against the situation and a call for help in remedying the situation. I had no clue I couldn't say anything about my feelings or experiences and in no way did I say anyone's name. I have a FL lawyer working on Custody and have been participating in a DV class. I have not contacted the victim in any way.
