Dallas, TX asked in Divorce and Family Law for Louisiana

Q: Still married husband files whistleblower lawsuit get divorced and he gets huge settlement from said suit I got nothing

We live in Louisiana and we’re married 17 years and had 4 children which are now grown. Suit was filed in 2009 we split that year and were divorced in 2012 suit was settled in 2015. I didn’t even know to go to court for the divorce because he lied to judge saying he didn’t know where I was. Also I didn’t want to ask for anything including child support because he is abusive and threatened me. I didn’t want him to take it out on the kids. Also his lawyer in the suit also handled the divorce. Shouldn’t he have let the judge know about this pending case? I even found a letter from 2012 year of our divorce from his lawyer it was a settlement letter saying he agreed to the terms they talked about for 1.6 million and that I as his wife would be entitled to half. Still have the letter. However he didn’t settle then that I know of because he settled in 2015. I know that’s when he came into a ton of money and even told me but said he couldn’t say how much that he had a gag order
