A: If you got a speeding ticket on the 15, you were cited by the CHP, and you signed a ticket. That is your ticket, you don't get another. It has a date for a Court hearing. Your signature was your promise to attend that hearing or show up early, instead of being arrested and taken to jail right then. If you don't show at the Court you could have additional civil or criminal penalties, including a warrant issued for your arrest and the next time you are pulled over you get a free trip to jail. If you lost the ticket, you can figure out which Court by looking at the nearest Superior Court, to where you were given the ticket, which is probably in Vista, and go there to see when your Court date is. The Courts usually have outdoor walk up windows with clerks to assist you. GO RIGHT AWAY, because your Court date could be 30 days after the ticket. It will cost you more money for not showing up. Some judges don't take excuses.
