Q: Daughter was terminated via text message. They did pay her. They have not issued documentation on her performance.

Chiropractor office. Small business. Office manager sent text message Saturday morning, stating going in a different direction. Also stated there were performance issues. Offered to give a positive reference. Has never seen or signed any corrective actions.

Generally speaking, Texas is an "at will" employment state, meaning your daughter can be terminated for any reason or no reason at all, with some exceptions (based on disability, gender, religion, race, etc).
