Spring, TX asked in Criminal Law for Texas

Q: Will a 1244a time served violate your parole?

My husband caught a State Jail felony For theft of copper/brass, etc. He is on parole and they have pleaded to

a 1244A. He has no background with theft and he has no violations since beening on parole. The only priors has is a burglar of a habitation and drug charges. We have asked if it can be dropped down to a 1244B so it will not violate his parole but then we heard that 1244A as long as it is time served it will not violate his parole. Can someone please answer the question if he signs will it violate his parole?

On the law it reads as long as it is time served it will not revoke his parole as long as when he goes it is time served. So I am not understanding.

A: Yes, entering a plea to and being found guilty of ANY violation of the law is sufficient to revoke parole.
