A: I do not know how things are done in College Station. However, I do know that an order is a legal document that describes what is to be (or has been) done and on what authority. I also know that a Commitment is an order that checks someone into jail, and it is often a boilerplate form. So, given all that, I would assume that a document titled "Commitment/Release Order" indicates a form that can be used to check someone INTO or OUT OF jail, depending on how the form is filled out, but that is just a guess. The only way to be 100% certain is to examine the actual document, which should be available at the court clerk's office. You can probably be 99% certain by asking a criminal defense attorney whose main office is in the same county where this document was filed.
