Q: Tx if my spouse & I are currently on the mortgage & title yet spouse wants to refiinance w/ just their name. Pros&Cons?
I would remain on the title just not the mortgage.
A: You are not going to find a lender that will execute such a mortgage. The lender would not be able to foreclose the mortgage upon default if only some of the owners granted the mortgage. It wold be legal but impractical and not going to happen.
