Q: I scratched an illegally parked car, what happens now if we were both illegally parked?
The car was parked extremely close to mine, the parking lot was also not legally a parking lot (cars had just pulled to park) I’m aware we are both a fault (because it’s not actually a lot nor a parking spot) I also stayed and exchanged information with the driver.

As a general matter, the fact that a car is illegally parked doesn't usually result in negating its owner's property damage rights.
