Stockton, CA asked in Car Accidents for California

Q: I collided with a bicyclist while riding my motorcycle without insurance what are the possible outcomes?

I was riding my motorcycle down a two-way four lane street when a man on a bicycle without warning or signaling went from the far outside lane into the inside lane where I was riding. It happened so suddenly that I attempted to break and swerve but he pathed himself directly into where I was swerving. We collided and he went down pretty hard and was likely injured. I got back to my feet and after collecting myself and picking my motorcycle off the road and cutting off the engine I went to check on the man who was still conscious and stayed with him until the ambulance and police arrived. The police took my statement and I told them I would be unable to provide my insurance info as it was done online. They gave me a card to contact them and provide my insurance but I had not yet added the motorcycle to my policy. I gave all of this information to a lawyer who specializes in traffic offenses but have not received any new information in 2 weeks. What are the possible outcomes of this?
