Sacramento, CA asked in Criminal Law and Civil Rights for California

Q: How do I turn myself in for a crime I did not commit? Because the sheriff says they won't make a report.

I am accused of trespassing but sheriff won't write a report unless I turn myself in. I am still displaced.

A: Never turn yourself in for a crime you did not commit. Or for a crime you did commit, without first consulting with a good criminal defense lawyer.

You are leaving a good amount of detail out, which is essential if you want sound advice.

Bottom line is you need to talk with a good criminal defense lawyer before you do anything.
