Asked in Civil Rights and Landlord - Tenant for California

Q: My neighbors are harassing me and complaining to my landlord about my animals. All lies. He's threatening eviction now?

They said my pigs and sheep live IN THE HOUSE and are constantly getting out of my 3 acre fenced yard that I have been trying to make unexcapable and even went to them when I moved in and let them know I can't fix where they get out until they show us where they can, even electrified the fence trying my best to keep them in, they have only got out about 5 times in 7 months. One even shot my baby mini pig just out of my fence. They call the cops when my kids walk our dog and say my dog attacks them and their dogs. They have family in law enforcement. They literally just keep lying to the cops and now my landlord and I don't even know why they hate us so much. We don't live close to eachother they just seem dead set on getting us out. It's neighbors on both sides, they are one family parents on one side and their kid and his/her? Family on the other.

A: this is not a criminal case.

you need to consult with a local landlord-tenant lawyer.

i would take pictures/video to gather evidence.

did you report them when they shot your pig?

if law enforcement is against you maybe contact the city council for assistance.
