A: Time to put everything in writing. You have to elect a physician from the employer's Workers Comp Insurance carrier, from it's Medical Provider Network. Then you have to prepare an Application for Adjudication so as to get a state WCAB Case Number and request an Expedited Hearing for TTD and Treatment...and you will likely require an attorney because those steps are too difficult for the average worker to perform. So look for an experienced attorney near you [not one of those "TV" attorneys that use secretaries to practice law], and pick a real physician from the Medical Provider Network and get a Work Status taking you off work. Then fax it to the Comp INsurer with a demand for Temporary Disability Payments....well, have your attorney do that ASAP
