Asked in Employment Discrimination for Kentucky

Q: My previous employer stole my shared tips and used them for “store use” per one of the managers on duty.

I work for a chain restaurant that is currently in litigation for their wage practices. Their fluid tip sharing policy is one of the reason I left. I went to pick up my last day of tip share and my envelope and money were both missing. I had not signed them out for July 1st. The manager on duty told me that the GM used mine and several other separated employees tip share for “store use”. Although this is a chain, a number to our home office is not available nor can I find it through a google search. No one has gotten back with me regarding my tip share as they stated they would.

A: You need to hire an employment law attorney and sue the GM and the store for fraud and theft.
