If you are unable to work and earn enough to support yourself, you could receive spousal maintenance for up to five years.
Spousal maintenance is not automatic. You must generally demonstrate that you have diligently sought employment but due to physical limitations, lack of education or job skills, and/or limited work experience, you are unable to find suitable employment that provides for your minimum reasonable needs.
