Malvern, PA asked in Personal Injury

Q: Is being intimidated and yelled in public an assault/battery/tort?

A year ago I was visiting Vermont with family. We were berated by a man. We were in our car and unintentionally in his parking space at a ski resort. He banged on our window with his fists and screamed at us. Did either party commit a tort of some sort? Thanks!

A: A Vermont attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. Being in the parking space might be a violation more than a tort. In terms of the other person's conduct, there could be torts there, but it does not sound like the type of tort case that a law firm would handle on a contingency basis. That's only an individual opinion. You could reach out to local attorneys to review in more detail for a more definitive opinion. Good luck
