Q: I paid a child restraint ticket. Can i still go to court date and talk with the judge?
I paid a child restraint ticket this morning and was charged $175.00 1st offense. I looked up the cost for TCA 55-9-602 and it stated that the fine was $50.00. I went back in and ask the clerk why it was so high she really never came up with a understandable answer. I told her I wanted to keep my court date in Jan. She said she could not void the payment. My question is can I still go to court and talk with the judge? Thank you.
