A: I am not sure if this is a legal question or simply a statement.

If you were injured while leaving the stadium, you need to act fast and retain an attorney. Depending on where the hole was could mean that it was public property or private property. If it is public property (public sidewalk for example), you have 6 months from the date of the incident to submit a government tort claim notice to the appropriate governmental entity. If it was on private property, then you have approximatley 2 years from the date of the incident to file a lawsuit.

In any event, a premises liability case for personal injuries should be handled by an attorney so that you can maximize your recovery.

A: Sounds like a workers compensation claim. If someone other than your employer dug the hole, or failed to barricade or place warning signs, you might have a negligence claim against them.

A: Looks like you got good advice from prior responses. Other than worker's comp., you have to prove awareness of the hole (dangerous condition) by the landowner and, as to value, a lot of factors are taken into account but a back surgery is a serious operation with long lasting consequences.

A: you should contact a LOCAL negligence/Workers Comp attorney asap.

if it is a public property, you must file claims within 6 months......so the clock is ticking.

it would have been better if you contacted a lawyer sooner so that the property investigation could be done. Pictures are needed and an investigation of prior incidents at this "hole".

A: You may have both a worker’s compensation case against your employer and a personal injury case against the third party that created the hole. Each case would provide you with certain benefits. Be aware of the statute of limitations. You should contact anyone of us for a free consultation.
