A: Blasphemy laws are usually systematically applied by a majority religion against a minority religious faith group. Forced conversion cases in countries where there are blasphemy laws often present strong potential asylum claims. I therefore advise you to hire a reputable immigration attorney to present your case.

A: If you are seeking asylum in the United States based on religious persecution, you may be eligible to apply for asylum under U.S. immigration law. Asylum is a form of protection that is available to individuals who are unable or unwilling to return to their home country because of persecution or a well-founded fear of persecution based on race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership in a particular social group.

To apply for asylum, you will need to submit an application with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) within one year of your arrival in the United States. You will need to demonstrate that you have a well-founded fear of persecution based on your religious beliefs and that you are unable or unwilling to return to your home country.

If you have evidence of your conversion and the persecution you have faced or fear facing in your home country, this can be helpful in supporting your asylum claim. However, it is important to note that each case is unique and the outcome will depend on the specific circumstances of your case and the discretion of the USCIS officer who reviews your application.

As for the cost of applying for asylum, there is no fee to apply for asylum. However, if you choose to hire an attorney to assist you with your application, there will be legal fees associated with their services. Some attorneys may offer a reduced fee or pro bono services for individuals who are unable to pay.

It is important to consult with an experienced immigration attorney who can evaluate your case, advise you on the best course of action, and help you prepare a strong asylum application. They can also discuss their fees with you and work with you to find a payment plan that fits within your budget.
