A: If you are in an unlawful detainer lawsuit against a hotel, there are several documents you may want to request as part of the discovery process. These documents may include:

Maintenance records: If you are alleging that the hotel had a bed bug infestation, you may want to request maintenance records to show whether the hotel was aware of the problem and took steps to address it.

Communication records: If you are alleging retaliation or wrongful eviction, you may want to request communication records, including emails, text messages, and phone logs, between the hotel staff and management.

Employment records: If you are alleging that you were wrongfully terminated, you may want to request your personnel file and any other employment records that show the reasons for your termination.

Financial records: You may want to request financial records, such as bank statements or profit and loss statements, to show whether the hotel was experiencing financial difficulties or had a motive to wrongfully evict you.

It is important to note that the specific documents you should request may depend on the facts of your case and the allegations you are making. It may be helpful to consult with an experienced litigation attorney who can advise you on the types of documents you should request and how to properly request them through the discovery process.
