Q: My car was impounded. I had insurance I just didn't have a tag because I didn't recieve it. The impound lot refuses
To let me get my car out or my belongings out . I have my pistol and all my paperwork inside my vehicle that they will not give me access to because they tell me i can't provide the paperwork that I'm the owner. What do I do? I have no money and all my belongings and work equipment is inside my vehicle and confidential paperwork
A: You need to show proof that the vehicle is registered in your name. You should be able to get a certified copy of the certificate of title from your DMV.
