Philadelphia, PA asked in Car Accidents for Pennsylvania

Q: two weeks ago while trying to park by back end tap a neighbors car. No damage to my car, he had right front fender damag

I reported it to my insurance company State Farm. They gave me a claim number but I told them there was no damage to my car(light scratches) The insurance representative stated that the claim was voided. However, i don't see that neighbor filed a claim, isn't unusual? I tapped his car while parked. I see nothing of his claim and I haven't seen him! Yet I got a "decision" that I was found "liable" without any details of the "accident". Menahwile on my account it is saying Iapplied for damages to my car and I didn't. I have argued with them for days! Should I report this mis practice or am I wrong. Also I may be blockedfrom receivng your resonse in my e-mail- I never got responses but here' hoping?

A: A Pennsylvania attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for five weeks. It sounds like there might have been a misunderstanding in the initial reporting about which vehicle was damaged. However, it looks like they processed the claim for the damage to your neighbor's vehicle. If that is not the result you wanted, an attorney could advise more definitively after reviewing additional details. Good luck
