Q: My HOA rules states residents can’t park on the street but guests can and there’s no overnight parking on the street.
The fine schedule states first you will receive a warning and you have 10 days to correct the issue and on the 11th day you will be fined. So I had a friend over that stayed the night one night with their car parked on the street because there’s no where else to park. Then a few weeks later had a family member come in to town and stayed the night. I was charged a parking violation on my bank card. I contacted management and they said they sent a warning and then a violation which I never received either. I’ve lived in this community for 5 years and they never enforced anything. People park on the street all the time and overnight. They just started enforcing without any notice. I asked neighbors that street park all the time if they have ever got any warnings or violations. Not one of them has. In my case I’ve had a couple confrontations with the HOA president for harassing my kids. To me it’s like they’re targeting me. My question is this legal and does a warning cover all future viol
