A: Yes, you have the right to request that your lawyer be present during any meeting with Child Protective Services (CPS). It's important to communicate this clearly to the CPS worker before scheduling the meeting. Having your attorney with you can help protect your rights and ensure you understand everything that's happening.

Remember, CPS investigations are serious, and it's crucial to take them seriously. You should cooperate with CPS, but you don't have to do so alone. Your lawyer can provide you with guidance and help you navigate the process.

Make sure you communicate with your lawyer as soon as possible, so they can be available to attend the meeting with you.
