Q: Can my landlord constantly ask for rent before the due date and threaten to evict me every other day?
My landlord texts at least a week or so BEFORE the 1st requesting rent money. She also will drive by my house or sit up the street and watch my house constantly. I had my mom and step dad visiting (for one night) and she texts me telling me they need to leave immediately. She also will repeatedly set up "walkthroughs" to gain access to my house for no reason. Every other day give or take she is messaging threatening me to evict me for some reason or another or if i dont do "this or that" she will evict me. Can she do all this?
Also, I was out of town the 1st of the month due to a death in my family and she was made aware of this, immediately she tells me she is going to the courts to file eviction papers. Its my understanding she has to serve a 3 day pay or quit then give me a letter stating shes terminating my lease or a 30 day notice before she can file with the courts? Is that wrong?
Please help!
