Jefferson City, MO asked in Family Law, Child Custody and Child Support for Missouri

Q: Ex-husband not compliant with custody agreement, taking our children to his home country for 4 weeks against my wishes.

My ex and I share 50/50 of our sons (2y and 4y), and we each get 2 weeks vacation per year. He has used his 2 weeks already and is going again to his home country for his sister's wedding. I told him I was ok with them going for the wedding but not ok with that long of a period, but he has purchased the tickets for 4 weeks anyway. I'm afraid he will use this to try and manipulate custody/child support in his favor in the future. I'm more afraid fighting him on this will cause more difficulties for me having to deal with him for the rest of my life. What could I do if I wanted to prevent him from taking them? Is that even possible?
