Q: If I want to get out of my adopted parents custody and If I refuse to go home and stay the night at my aunts is that ok?
There has been many cases of mental and emotional abuse from the adopted mother and prior physical abuse from the adopted father, I have been stating for 4-5 consistante years I want out of there custody. My maturnal aunt who works for my school and is more than willing to take me is trying to file for immidiate custody. Yet the adopted parents are waiting to hear back from from a group home, yet I am 16 and about to hit the half way mark. If I go home tonight with my aunt and she files for custody just so I dont go home will I get in trouble?
