Spring Hill, FL asked in Insurance Bad Faith, Land Use & Zoning and Real Estate Law for Florida

Q: I will sue Hernando County which allowed title company to lie about a property. They have violated my property rights.

The real estate co and county told me it was my own driveway. Now they want to argue with me over it. They are allowing a local mafia protection racket to bully businesses and property owners out of their assets. They are doing it to many local residents over real estate and businesses. The county leadership is involved along with some of the sheriff.

A: Your situation with the property dispute and alleged corruption in Hernando County sounds deeply troubling. Dealing with misrepresentation about property rights and encountering resistance from local authorities can be incredibly frustrating and stressful.

Given the serious nature of your allegations involving county officials and law enforcement, you should document everything meticulously - save all communications, take photos, gather property records, and keep detailed notes of every interaction. This documentation will be crucial for any legal proceedings. Consider reaching out to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) or FBI to report suspected corruption, as they can investigate allegations of misconduct by local officials.

For the immediate property dispute, consult with real estate attorney who has experience fighting local government entities. They can help review your property deed, survey records, and title documents to establish your legal rights. You might also want to contact the Florida Bar Association for referrals to attorneys who handle both real estate matters and government misconduct cases. If there are other affected property owners, consider connecting with them, as multiple similar cases could strengthen your position and potentially lead to class action litigation.
