Q: if I’m a tenant at Will and they illegally evict me without notice, keep my stuff and have my car towed, what happens?
I’ve been staying with my girlfriend and her mom for two years. We have no written lease agreement, but I exchange my labor for rent. She kicked me out with zero days, warning, and locked the doors on me, she is having my car towed without warning, and she has all my belongings inside that she refuses to give back. She’s also lying to the police telling them that I never lived there when I actually did and have proof. I just spent thousands of dollars remodeling the house and they kicked me out as soon as I finished. And the reason for eviction was that her daughter was mad at me and told her to kick me out so she forced me out same day. Again, I have lived there for two years. I’ve slept there every single night for a year or more. What are all of the things I can hold her accountable for legally? And can I call police to stop my car from being towed with no warning?
