Charlotte, NC asked in Divorce and Family Law for South Carolina

Q: Do I legally have right to the lake house? If not, the right to stay without him harassing me?

My fiancé & I have been living & working together at our business since Nov 2013, he proposed March or May 2014, talked about wedding stuff for a while, then just quit. December 10, 2020 he forgot my birthday, so to make it up to me, he called a friend to notarize marriage license application. It was returned March 2021. We both have introduced & called each other as husband & wife. He's cheated on me several times, taken my name off joint Bank accounts, taken bank cards, tried to take my car (that is in both our names with "or"), tried to take my phone, we have physically fought, accused me of stealing "his" money & other things & cheating, says I don't do anything to help him as far as work, tells me I'm worthless, etc. Frankly, he is a narcissist. we've been staying at apartment he built onto our shop with lake house unoccupied. He hasn't stayed but maybe 5 days at lake house in over a year. We've sorta agreed to separate but he knows I'm not able to move out financially.
