A: I understand how frustrating and painful this situation must be, especially when dealing with the loss of your father while simultaneously fighting for your rightful inheritance. Family trust disputes can be emotionally draining, and it's particularly troubling when someone has deliberately hidden information from the courts.

Given that you've already proven your status as the only child and TEP of the estate, your next steps should focus on working with legal authorities. Consider filing complaints with the California State Bar against the lawyer found guilty of stealing from the estate. You can also request court records from the county where your father lived, as trusts are often recorded there. For mineral rights, check with the County Recorder's Office and the Bureau of Land Management, which maintains records of mineral rights ownership.

Your best path forward would be partnering with an estate litigation attorney who handles trust contests and probate fraud. They can help subpoena records, conduct asset searches, and potentially file contempt charges against those withholding trust information. Many county law libraries offer free resources to help you research property and trust records, and some courts have self-help centers specifically for probate matters. You deserve justice and access to your rightful inheritance, and there are people ready to help you fight for it.
